Make Your List Go Viral With Super Charged Tell-A-Friend Scripts

You’ve got to love the gurus,.. and lets not forget the ‘I’m not a guru‘ gurus!

Just this week gone Internet Marketing guru Mike Filsaime has been gearing up to launch his super charged viral list building tell-a-friend script.

How these viral list building tell-a-friend scripts work is ultimately quite simple…

After a subscriber has opted in to your list they land on the new tell-a-friend page. If they tell-a-friend or two they get a freebie. The theory is that your list will grow exponentially as more and more people use the tell-a-friend script to get the extra freebie. The key to this being effective is to have a truly valuable freebie on offer.

At the same time as Mike has been launching his tell-a-friend script the self proclaimed ‘non-guru’ Scott Boulch (’The Death of AdSense’ guy) has gone the route of claiming to have been poorly copied by other gurus (he’s indirectly pointing the finger at Mike F in this case) and thus is “fighting back” by giving away his own viral type of tell-a-friend script for free.

The way these ‘gurus’ (or whatever they want to be called) bounce of each other claiming to be this or that and who’s copying who is getting to be pretty tired - they really need to start finding more original ’angles’ to sell their stuff!! lol

Anyway, regardless of what they are saying it appears we have two current choices for these new viral list building tell-a-friend scripts:

Viral Friend Generator
Mike Filsaime’s offering:
Viral Friend Generator
Cost: $97 ($47 if you hurry and buy before the WSO offer ends on the 28th Feb 2007)

Viral Friend Dominator
Scott Boulch’s offering:
Viral Friend Dominator
Cost: FREE (Plus free viral list building report ‘The Autopsy’)

So, the big question: Why pay for Mike’s if Scott’s is free?

I have to confess I haven’t bought Mike’s but you can get a good idea of how it works by watching the demo video here:

http://www.viralfriendgenerator.com/how-to-use/

I have downloaded Scott’s free script and it does seem to be a solid product. But it is clear this is not an act of kindness, he is simply using it as a pre-selling system to sell his main product ‘The List Virus’. Fair enough though, we all have bills to pay. You can’t expect a decent freebie to come without some kind of marketing promotion. As long as it’s not too in your face its totally justified I think.

This choice all boils down to what you are getting and what your needs are…

Scott’s is free but appears to be quite a bit more basic than Mike’s. Mike’s script goes in to more depth and is also more user friendly so if you are a non-techie you will probably prefer Mike’s tell-a-friend script.

Also you get a bunch of bonuses with Mikes script which are pretty good products on their own:

* The Butterfly marketing Manuscript - $97 Value
* PowerLink Generator - $97 Value
* Virology - The Science of Viral Marketing

Essentially both scripts do the job intended. The main differences being Mikes is more complete, easier to use and comes with a bunch of decent bonuses… Scotts will cost you nothing but is more fiddly to use and has less flexibility.

Because both scripts actually perform the intended function without issue it is simply down to how much you want a viral list building tell-a-script and to what level of functionality you need.

If you need a fully fledged tell-a-friend script with lots of options and proper support get Mike’s.

If you think these are cool scripts you’d like to have a play with but don’t actually need one just now then download Scott’s.

First, let me say that I appreciate the nonbiased reviews; they’re very helpful.

Second, par 3, line 2 of your blog: the second “tell-a-friend” actually reads “tell-a-fiend.” It’s one of those funny typos, but I thought you might want to correct it.

hi, what about the newest ‘i’m not one of those “‘i’m not a guru’ guru” gurus’?

Thanks for the heads up on the typo Carol.

Although I was quite tempted to leave it as “tell-a-fiend”. Maybe that’s a new script variation in the making?! lol

Frederick, those are my favourite type of gurus! ;)
