Has Jason Potash Killed DupeFree Pro?
OK, this post title might be a tad dramatic,… Jason Potash hasn’t really killed DupeFree Pro.
Jason was heading in that direction though, but fortunately he has in effect done the opposite.
Let me explain…
We are members of the acclaimed Portal Feeder membership and upon announcing DupeFree Pro in the members forum we were soon contacted by none other than Jason Potash himself.
Jason proceeded to tell us that he too was releasing a free software tool for checking duplicate content over articles. He was simply making sure we knew that he had been planning a similar tool for a while and didn’t want us to think he had nicked DupeFree Pro’s concept.
Needless to say, with the weight Jason Potash holds in the Internet Marketing community we were very anxious his free tool was going to completely knock DupeFree Pro out of the water before it even got started.
Well, the time has come and Jason Potash has released his free dupe content checker which you can download for free from here.
You might be surprised why we would point you to our competition…
In fact, we are more than happy to do so because we honestly think once you download and try out Jason Potash’s free duplicate content tool (ContentCheckup) you’ll soon be glad you previously found DupeFree Pro. 
Not to put Jason’s tool down, it is a decent tool, but it is also very limited just as with all the other dupe checker tools available online.
Another reason to tell you about Jason’s tool is because Jason Potash is a major Internet Marketing player who is known as one of the ‘go-to-guys’ for SEO article writing/marketing. And so if Jason Potash is thinking along the exact same lines as DupeFree Pro this only goes to further demonstrate how important *accurately* combating duplicate content is.
So why has Jason released this free dupe content tool?
Jason has been updating his impressive SEO content writing tool, Content Composer, for the past 6 to 8 months and now he’s gearing up for his first public launch.
If you’ve not heard of content composer before, it’s because he’s been keeping it behind closed doors and previously only made it available to his existing customers.
Content Composer is a truly powerful SEO writing tool that contains many features our own beloved DupeFree Pro aspires to have.
Hopefully at some point when we can invest more in to DupeFree Pro’s development it can also reach this level but for now Content Composer is the only tool available that allows you to create quality unique content without over-automization.
One thing I must stress is that Content Composer is NOT an article spinner. Automated content spinners do not build businesses, they merely fight a loosing battle against the Search Engine quality algorithms.
Content Composer is a powerful program that takes automation as far as possible with SEO content creation.
The key with software like this is finding the right balance so you maximise your time whilst retaining quality. Jason has actually managed to achieve this near impossible task with Content Composer.

Jason is re-releasing Content Composer (now version 3.0) this Thursday, March the 29th.
Last time Jason made content composer available it was for a very limited time so I suggest marking this date in your calendar if you are at all serious about SEO content creation in your business.
Jason has also released a pre-launch PDF report that contains some very up-to-the-minute information on how to go about creating your content in 2007. I highly recommend reading it if you don’t want to be left behind. He even talks about LSI and themeing, which you can already semi-automate with the recently added ‘LSI’ button in DupeFree Pro.
Jason’s report is VERY eye-opening and contains some great tidbits and action-ideas that you can use right away. We consider it to be *essential* reading for 2007:

If you hire ghost writers, submit articles to article directories, write or rewrite SEO articles yourself then Content Composer is an absolute must.
However, there is one area where Content Composer appears to be lacking and that is on the duplicate content checking side.
Content Composer’s dupe content section works much in the same way as Jason Potash’s new free software but CC does add a few extras such as keyword and phrase level similarity percentages.
However, in our opinion it just doesn’t give you the complete control that you need and also the duplicate text highlighting system is limited, just one colour for all the duplicate content found.
Luckily though with DupeFree Pro in your arsenal you’ve got this area covered.
Combine DupeFree Pro together with Content Composer and you will pretty much have all bases covered for your SEO content creation.
